Award winning science writer, Ruth Winter, reports on the leading edge of medical research. She has been covering health, food safety, and pharmaceuticals for more than 30 years. The former science editor of The Star-Ledger In New Jersey and nationally syndicated columnist for The Los Angeles Times, she is the author of 28 books and hundreds of major magazine articles on subjects ranging from anti-aging hormones to medicines in foods. She is a former president of The American Society of Journalists and Authors and a winner of the American Medical Writers national award for magazine writing.

Arthur Winter, MD, FICS, is the Director of the NJ Neurological Institute.  Dr. Winter completed his undergraduate work at Drew University, attended medical school at the University of Montreal and performed his residency in neurosurgery at Baylor Medical College and at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Arthur holds several patents for the development of medical instruments as well as awards for contributions to the field of medicine.  He is on the staff of St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He teaches medical psychology at Farleigh Dickinson University and Drew University, both in Madison, NJ.

Dr. Winter is the author of several medical texts including The Moment of Death, which helped pass the brain death law in New Jersey, and Surgical Control of Behavior. He is also the co-author with Ruth Winter of Brain Workout and Smart Food.
